Maya Morales was born in Worcester, MA and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams while getting a degree in Media Arts and Culture at Occidental College. She began acting at a young age, making up plays around the house with her family, but her formal training began in middle school. Maya has a background in theatre that was cultivated by taking Shakespeare classes (which she later taught at the Citi Center in Boston during high school). She started exploring film and television at age 9 when she joined the cast of TV show "Zoom". Her most recent film role is as Tati in the feature "Jinn", which premiered at SXSW in March of 2018. She can be seen as Grace in in the Lifetime TV movie "The Assault" (check here for airing times). She also stars as Cynthia in the web series "CLASS", which can be viewed here. You can catch her in a national anti-smoking commercial here.
When Maya isn't acting, she spends time dancing, writing, exploring, and working with youth on issues of diversity and social justice. Her passion is to combine art and activism (artivism). She also drinks a lot of boba tea.
